The TOLES team meets the UK Business Secretary, Vince Cable

On 9 February 2012 a team from the TOLES office attended an event at Central Hall, Westminster. The event was to promote the British education and training sector in the Asian markets and was hosted by a member of the UK Government, Business Secretary Vince Cable.

Also present to give advice was Jimmy Choo entrepreneur, Tamara Mellon and BBC Economics editor, Stephanie Flanders.

Our team received excellent feedback from the business community, their major praise aimed at how practical and industry-led the TOLES materials and exams are. The message we took from the visit is that TOLES, as a vocational exam, is not just another ‘academic’ product tied up in the thinking of the last century, but is a modern, vibrant, and constantly developing course of study of real use to the emerging markets. Several of the delegates from China, Japan and Taiwan were extremely excited by our books and exams and have organized more meetings with us in February and March 2012.
