TOLES Examinations Terms & Conditions

TOLES ADVANCED EXAMINATION

Currently Registered Exam Centres (the centre) may hold the TOLES Advanced Exam “on request” in accordance with these procedures. Global Legal English Ltd (GLE) reserves the right to introduce fixed exam dates at any time.

The centre must provide GLE with a minimum of 6 weeks’ notice of a proposed exam date together with the number and names of the candidates.

A minimum of 10 candidates is required for each examination held at the centre.

If requested by the centre, GLE will post the exam date on the TOLES website.

GLE will send the exam papers to the centre so that they arrive a few days prior to the exam date.

The centre must confirm receipt of the exam papers by fax or e-mail.

The centre must keep the papers in a secure place with restricted access.

The examination papers are in a sealed envelope. This must not be opened until 15 minutes before the start of the examination.

The centre is responsible for invigilating the exam in accordance with the conditions of registration.

The centre must undertake that it has not copied or retained any exam papers.

The centre must return both completed and unused exam papers to GLE the day after the examination by a means of secure delivery (eg courier, registered post).

GLE will confirm receipt of the exam papers by fax or e-mail.

GLE will mark the papers and provide the centre with the results and certificates 6-8 weeks after the date of the exam.

The centre must confirm receipt of the certificates by fax or e-mail.

The centre is responsible for distributing the certificates to the individual candidates.

The exam fee charged by the centre to candidates is set at the centre’s discretion.

An invoice for the exam fees is sent to the centre with the exam papers and is due for payment within 7 days of the exam date. GLE will not release candidates’ results or send candidates’ certificates to the centre until payment has been received.

 TOLES HIGHER EXAMINATION

The exam may only be held on fixed examination dates. The exam dates are available from GLE.

The centre must provide GLE with a minimum of 6 weeks’ notice that an exam will be held on the relevant date, together with the number and names of the candidates.

GLE will send the exam papers and audio CD to the centre so that they arrive a few days prior to the exam date.

The centre must confirm receipt of the CD/exam papers by fax or e-mail.

The centre must keep the CD/exam papers in a secure place with restricted access.

The CD/examination papers are in a sealed envelope which must not be opened until 15 minutes before the start of the examination.

The centre is responsible for invigilating the exam in accordance with the conditions of registration.

The centre must undertake that they have not copied or retained any exam papers or the CD.

The centre must return the CD and both completed and unused exam papers to GLE the day after the examination by a means of secure delivery (eg courier, registered post).

GLE will confirm receipt of the CD/exam papers by fax or e-mail.

GLE will mark the papers and provide the centre with the results and certificates (6-8 weeks after the date of the exam).

The centre must confirm receipt of the certificates by fax or e-mail.

The centre is responsible for distributing the certificates to the individual candidates.
